VEHICLE STICKERS:
The 2007-2008 vehicle stickers expire on Monday April 30, 2008. City of Burbank
2008-2009 renewal vehicle stickers can be purchased at the Clerk’s Office in City Hall
during scheduled office hours. APPLICATIONS SENT THROUGH THE MAIL ARE
HANDLED PROMPTLY AND WILL ELIMINATE WAITING IN LINE.
For your convenience, stickers are also available at the following
location: Garden Gate Currency Exchange, 7911 S. Narragansett, during their normal business
hours. This location may be open at times that City Hall may be closed.
In the event you did not receive your renewal application through the mail,
blank forms are available at City Hall and currency exchange. Be sure to bring
the information necessary to complete the form with you.
Senior Citizens are entitled to one free sticker per household each sticker
year. Residents applying for a Senior Sticker must reach the age of 65
before May 1, 2008 and supply proof of age. If you have previously received
a Burbank Senior Vehicle Sticker, your records will be on file.
In January 2000, the City Council passed Ordinance 7-1-00 amending the
Burbank Code. The change requires that vehicle stickers should be displayed
in the lower right-hand corner of the windshield so that nothing will
obstruct the sticker. The change also made it unlawful to display a vehicle
sticker after the expiration date. ALL OLD STICKERS MUST BE REMOVED. THIRTY
DAYS AFTER YOU MOVE INTO BURBANK, WINDOW STICKERS FROM OTHER COMMUNITIES ARE
NO LONGER VALID.
New residents, who have proof of residency, have 30 days from the date of
becoming a resident to obtain a city sticker without paying a penalty.
Residents who purchase a replacement vehicle can transfer the current
sticker to the new vehicle within 30 days of the purchase of the replacement
vehicle before the 100% penalty goes into effect. The old sticker, or the
pieces of it, must be returned to the City in order to obtain a new sticker
for a transfer fee of $5.00. If the sticker can be re-used, there will be no
charge, but the correct information for the replacement vehicle must be
recorded in the Clerk’s Office. Newly purchased vehicles are governed by the
30 day rule of purchasing and displaying a city vehicle sticker.
THE LAST DAY TO BUY A STICKER AT CITY HALL WITHOUT PENALTY WILL BE
Saturday, May 31, 2008, 9:00 A.M.to 12:00P.M
A RENEWAL STICKER PURCHASED ON OR AFTER JUNE 1, 2008, WILL BE SUBJECT TO A
100% PENALTY. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.

IS DUE TO BEING GIVEN A 30 DAY GRACE PERIOD FOR MAY.)
ALL LICENSED MOTOR VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO DISPLAY A MUNICIPAL VEHICLE
STICKER WITHIN 30 DAYS OF A PERSON BECOMING A RESIDENT OR PURCHASING A
VEHICLE. COME IN FOR THE BURBANK STICKER EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR NEW
PLATES. ALL STICKERS ISSUED AFTER 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE OR MOVING TO BURBANK
WILL BE ASSESSED A 100% PENALTY. RESIDENTS TRANSFERRING A STICKER TO A
DIFFERENT VEHICLE MUST PROVIDE THE OLD STICKER OR PIECES THAT CONTAIN THE
VEHICLE STICKER NUMBER. The stickers will be issued for the year beginning
May 1st through April 30th. All fees increase 100% as of June 1st, except as
stated above. For vehicles purchased after November 1st, or a resident
moving to Burbank after November 1st, half-year fees will apply, subject to
