Public Works Director
William (Bill) Trovato is a life long resident of Burbank. Bill attended Dulles Grade School, Reavis High School and graduated in 1981 from Moraine Valley Community College. Bill is married and has 3 children attending schools in Burbank. Bill began working for the City in 1983 at 19 years of age in general maintenance. Bill was later elevated to the position of foreman in charge of a team of 14 employees. In April 2004, Bill was apointed by Mayor Harry Klein to the position of Director for Public Works. Under Bills direction, the Public Works Office has grown, deploying state-of-the-art equipment to maintain the streets of Burbank. Presently, Public Works has a fleet of 10 plow trucks outfitted for snow removal, 1 back hoe, 1 paving machine and 2 cherry picker style lifts. In 2006 the Public Works Division repaved 10 city streets at an estimated cost of $8,000.00 per-street. This saved the City an estimated $52,000.00 for each street as would be charged to the City by an outside contractor. Bill Trovato's goal for the future is to maintain the infrastructure of Burbank by utilizing a staff of highly qualified employees to keep the streets of Burbank safe for everyone.
