Project ChildSafe, The Nation's Largest Firearm Safety Education Program
***Don't let your child become a statistic!***

Each year, countless American children are accidentally killed by weapons that should have been properly secured. If you choose to keep a gun in your home, it is your legal responsibility to ensure that your weapon is stored in a safe manner and is not accessible to children or other unauthorized persons. Hiding a gun in a drawer, closet or similar location is NOT safe. Remember, children are extremely curious. If you have an unsecured weapon in your home, there is an excellent chance of them finding it!

Free firearm safety kits, complete with a cable-style gun lock and a firearm safety brochure are available at the Burbank Police Station, 5650 W. 75th Place. The free gun lock giveaway is offered by the Burbank Police Department as part of the National Project Child Safe Initiative; funding is received from a U.S. Department of Justice grant.

Please DO NOT bring guns to the Police Station when picking up a gun lock kit(s).
