City Hall:

Mayor Dan Foy



The Mayor proposes, promotes and reviews policies to be adopted by the City; establishes administrative procedures; evaluates and implements existing policies, programs and procedures; and works closely with the police, fire, and all other departments within the City of Burbank to ensure the safety and tranquility of the community.

First point of contact in the Mayor's Office; oversees the Mayor's calendar; responds to residents' questions and complaints; coordinates the city's newsletter; responsible for the processing and issuance of all liquor licenses; responsible for Committee and City Council meeting agendas; handles special requests made by schools, churches, businesses, etc.; and, provides assistance to the aldermen.

Barry J. Szymczak



The City Clerk coordinates city elections, records and transcribes minutes of each meeting, signs and countersigns ordinances, and other official documents. Responds to citizen's requests, serving as a liaison between the citizens and City Departments, researches City and State codes and statutes. Responsible for the City of Burbank Ordinance Book. Maintains and preserves the City Seal. Prepares and publishes legal notices, advertisements and notices of public hearings, and special called meetings.

Genelle is responsible for processing billing statements for business licenses, issuing business vending machine and amusement licenses. Genelle is also in charge of overseeing the vehicle sticker program.


Holly Hudnall



Holly usually is your first point of office counter contact with the city, directing you to the paperwork or staff member. She also is assigned to collection of city tax, amusement, fuel and real-estate transfer tax. The clerks office is the collections office for the city. Motel and hotel occupancy tax collection.

Building Department

Building Commissioner/Zoning Administrator

The Building Commissioner handles all reviews for building permits, issuance of building permits, property maintenance, building code enforcement. Reviews applications for variances, special use permits, subdivisions and zoning changes. Prepares recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Building Dept. Secretaries: Assists in the issuing of building permits, answers questions regarding building permit applications, schedules building inspections and zoning.

Electrical Inspector: Inspects new and existing electrical wiring installations in industrial, commercial and residential structures, including low voltage systems, for compliance with approved plans, applicable City codes and standards for workmanship, safety and quality.

Financial Office Coordinator

Penny Paslawski



Penny is the liaison to the treasurer. She maintains the city's financial records and computes the records to numerical data.

Patricia Sabo



Working in the finance office Patricia computes and records employee time and payroll data, post wages and deductions and prepares paychecks. Prepares and processes all insurance bills, pension information for present and retired personal.

Fire Department:

The Burbank Fire Chief performs the tasks of running two fire houses and supervises the firefighters and officers in an emergency setting. The Chief is responsible for fire inspections, investigations, training and recruiting potential firefighters. The Fire Chief also works in the community to promote fire prevention and inform the public on emergency medical services. The Fire Chief not only has to lead the firefighters of each house, but must deal with administrative duties as well. The Chief handles the paperwork include managing the budget, overseeing policy, purchasing equipment and mandating procedures.

Micki is your first point of contact with the Burbank Fire Department Chief's office she is responsible for Ambulance billing, invoicing, payroll for the fire department employees. ESDA' billing, orders and acquisitions. Micki is also responsible for all accounts payable.

Police Department:

Chief Rick Shore (708-924-7300)


The Chief of the Burbank Police Department is the highest ranking officer of that police department, and serves as the chief executive of the department. The Police Chief is a law enforcement officer and is subject to all the requirements of law enforcement officers in the state and city. As the chief executive, he is responsible for crafting the vision of the police department, setting the department's objectives, and devising plans to accomplish those objectives.

The City of Burbank Public Works Director has knowledge of policies, procedures, and techniques used in the construction, maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure. In a supervisory capacity he demonstrates skills in departmental management, personnel administration, safety and training. He oversees the procurement, management, and maintenance of the city's fleet of equipment.
