The City Clerk
coordinates city elections, records and
transcribes minutes of each meeting, signs and countersigns
ordinances, and other official documents. Responds to citizen's
requests, serving as a liaison between the citizens and City
Departments, researches City and State codes and statutes.
Responsible for the City of Burbank Ordinance Book. Maintains and
preserves the City Seal. Prepares and publishes legal notices,
advertisements and notices of public hearings, and special called
meetings.

collection of city tax, amusement, fuel and real-estate transfer
tax. The clerks office is the collections office for the city.
Patricia also heads the Job referral program in the city and
issues animal licenses.

Burbank Fire Chief performs the tasks of running two fire houses and
supervises the firefighters and officers in an emergency setting.
The Chief is responsible for fire inspections, investigations,
training and recruiting potential firefighters. The Fire Chief also
works in the community to promote fire prevention and inform the
public on emergency medical services. The Fire Chief not only has to
lead the firefighters of each house, but must deal with administrative duties as well. The
Chief handles the paperwork
include managing the budget, overseeing policy, purchasing equipment
and mandating procedures.

Chief of the Burbank Police Department is the highest ranking
officer of that police department, and serves as the chief executive
of the department. The Police Chief is a law enforcement officer and
is subject to all the requirements of law enforcement officers in
the state and city. As the chief executive, he is responsible for
crafting the vision of the police department, setting the
department's objectives, and devising plans to accomplish those
objectives.

repair of municipal infrastructure. In a supervisory capacity he
demonstrates skills in departmental management, personnel

management, and maintenance of the city's fleet of equipment.
