C.A.R.T
Combined Area Response Team

C.A.R.T Red Team is one of nine teams, each
with a designated a color. Each team is responsible for responding to a
crisis in a geographical area from Chicago to Kankakee and from DeKalb to
Indiana. C.A.R.T Teams are also involved in "statewide" response. The most
noted was the disaster in Utica, Illinois, in April of 2004 when eight
people died after a cluster of nineteen tornadoes struck Illinois. C.A.R.T
teams Red, Black, Green and Orange worked twenty two continuous hours
assisting the stricken town and its victims.
The Burbank Fire Department, in conjunction with Oak Lawn, Bridgeview, North
Palos, Roberts Park and Palos Park, conducted rescue training during a night
drill exercise in a confined space storm sewer.
