Allied Waste Services of Crestwood
will be providing your
waste and recycling service.
HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE
All household garbage is to be placed out for pick-up each week on your
regular pick-up day. Please continue to use the 95-gallon cart provided by
the City of Burbank. If additional carts are required, they can be purchased
for $50.00 by calling the City of Burbank, Department of Public Works at
708-924-7390.
If you are ever in need of a large dumpster for a special clean-up or
construction job, please contact our Customer Service Department at
708-385-8252 for special rates.
BILLING
Invoices will be mailed directly to residents three times annually each
invoice for a four month period. All residents who begin service with Allied
Waste as of May 1, 2008 will receive an invoice in May for the months of
May, June and July 2008. The monthly rate for general household service is
$17.13.
Invoices can be paid on line by visiting our website at
www.disposal.com.
RECYCLING
New recycling carts will be delivered to each home. The new carts are to be
used for recyclables. The recycling carts are on wheels and have lids, which
keep the city clean by reducing animal, insect and litter problems.
Please Note: The recycling carts are for
recycling material only – no yard waste or trash to be placed in recycling
carts. Please see list of acceptable items below.

NEW SCHEDULE FOR RECYCLING
The new recycling carts hold a larger amount of material; therefore,
recycling service will now be provided every other week on your regular
pick-up day. Please refer to the enclosed calendar for your recycling
schedule.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Should your regular pick-up day fall on or after one of the following
holidays, your pick-up will be delayed one day for that week only:
New Years Day Labor Day
Memorial Day Thanksgiving
Fourth of July Christmas Day
YARD WASTE
Yard waste service is provided from April 1st through November 30th on your
regular garbage pick-up day. There are three ways to dispose of your yard
waste:
1) Place all waste in 30-gallon brown paper yard waste bags. No stickers are
required. Yard waste bags can be found at local hardware and grocery stores.
2) Apply the enclosed "Yard Waste" sticker to your own 33-gallon container.
If you need additional yard waste stickers, please contact our Customer
Service Department at 708-385-8252.
Please Note: Tree branches in excess of three inches in diameter will not be
removed. Tree branches must be bundled in a maximum 2 feet in diameter and 4
feet in length. If you have a large amount of branches, do not cut them,
call the Public Works Office to make pick up arrangements at 708-924-7390.
APPLIANCES (WHITE GOODS)
Appliances (white goods) will be removed for a $30.00 fee. To schedule the
removal of an appliance, please contact our Dispatch Office at 708-385-8252.
Just a reminder, by law, all refrigerator doors must be removed prior to
being placed at the curb for removal.
